The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is seeking assistance from the public in identifying a suspect involved in the theft of a vintage car from an Imperial Beach neighborhood. The incident occurred around 02:00 on October 21, 2023, in the 500 block of Calle Avenue.
The stolen vehicle is a red 1960 Chevrolet Impala, which bears the California license plate JCL527. According to the Imperial Beach Sheriff’s Substation, the classic car was parked on the street when the theft took place. Surveillance footage captured the suspect pushing the vehicle away from the location, highlighting the need for public vigilance.

Authorities describe the suspect as wearing a dark-colored hooded sweater, dark pants, and white shoes. While the quality of the surveillance footage is not optimal, investigators remain hopeful that someone in the area during the early hours of that morning may recognize the individual or have additional information that could aid in recovering the stolen Impala.
