Southern Section Flag Football Playoffs: Weekend Results & Next Matches

URGENT UPDATE: The Southern Section flag football playoffs delivered thrilling results this weekend, setting the stage for an action-packed quarterfinals next week. Key victories were recorded across all divisions, with standout performances that fans won’t want to miss!

In the Division 2 second round, Bishop Amat dominated Cajon with a score of 25-0, while Newbury Park edged out Portola 26-18. Other notable scores included Ventura defeating Northwood 40-27 and Downey overcoming San Clemente 25-6.

In Division 3, La Serna triumphed over Foothill 20-13, and Long Beach Poly secured a decisive win against Norco 26-7. Mission Viejo also advanced, defeating Corona Santiago 20-6.

Meanwhile, the Division 4 matchups showcased intense competition, with Riverside King routing Gardena Serra 41-25 and Canyon Springs taking down Temecula Prep 26-13.

In Division 5, Moreno Valley narrowly defeated Quartz Hill 13-12, while Rancho Alamitos overcame San Gorgonio 18-7.

The Division 6 games were equally fierce, with Leuzinger beating Brentwood 25-13 and Cerritos holding on for a close victory over Montebello 8-6.

LOOKING AHEAD: The quarterfinals kick off on Monday, October 30, at 5 p.m. with exciting matchups including JSerra facing Santa Margarita and Dos Pueblos squaring off against Edison. The action continues with matches in Divisions 2-6 on October 28, leading to the highly anticipated semifinals on November 1 and finals on November 7-8 at Fred Kelly Stadium.
