Jalen Hurts Ranked 9th Best QB; Insider Calls Him a “Winner”

UPDATE: Jalen Hurts, quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles, has been ranked as the ninth-best quarterback in the NFL according to an ESPN poll that included insights from anonymous executives, coaches, and scouts. This ranking has sparked renewed debate about his true standing in the league, as questions about whether he is overrated or among the elite continue to swirl.

In a recent interview on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia, ESPN’s NFL Insider Adam Schefter emphasized the perception of Hurts around the league, stating, “He is viewed as a winner… someone who has essentially taken them to two Super Bowls in the last few years.” This bold assertion underscores Hurts’ significant impact on the Eagles’ success, especially highlighted by his performances against formidable opponents like Patrick Mahomes.

Hurts first showcased his talent on the Super Bowl stage in 2022, where he led the Eagles to a 14-1 regular season record, throwing for 3,701 passing yards and 22 touchdowns. Despite a heartbreaking loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in that Super Bowl, Hurts demonstrated resilience and skill that set the stage for his future.

Last season, the Eagles finished with a 12-3 record under Hurts’ leadership. After a series of playoff victories against the Green Bay Packers, Los Angeles Rams, and Washington Commanders, the Eagles faced the Chiefs again in the Super Bowl, securing a victory that solidified Hurts’ reputation. At just 26 years old, he has already claimed a Super Bowl ring, the Super Bowl MVP honor, a second-team All-Pro nod, and two Pro Bowl accolades.

Despite Hurts’ impressive track record and accolades, the debate about his ranking and capabilities remains alive. Many still question whether his achievements are a result of a strong supporting cast rather than his individual talent. However, it is becoming increasingly evident that he is one of the most respected quarterbacks in the NFL.

As the 2025 season approaches, all eyes will be on Hurts to see if he can further elevate his game and silence critics. Fans and analysts alike are eager to witness how he will continue to shape his legacy in the league. For those following the Philadelphia Eagles and NFL developments, this is one storyline that is sure to generate buzz.

Stay tuned for more updates on Hurts and the Eagles as the new season kicks off, and be part of the conversation surrounding one of football’s most intriguing talents.
