On August 22, 2023, the University at Buffalo’s School of Management hosted a lively event to welcome the Class of 2029 and new transfer students. The event, held at the Jacobs Management Center in Buffalo, New York, provided an interactive platform for incoming students to connect with faculty, staff, and peers. Ananth Iyer, Dean of the School of Management, alongside faculty and staff, participated in welcoming the new cohort.
Students engaged in various activities, including rides on a mechanical bull, human foosball, and creating friendship bracelets. An airbrush artist offered temporary tattoos featuring the University at Buffalo branding, adding to the festive atmosphere. A DJ entertained the crowd while students explored opportunities to join student clubs and learn about the new Introduction to Management for Majors course.

The gathering commenced at 1:00 p.m. and continued until 3:30 p.m.. A detailed schedule of activities ensured that students had ample opportunity to immerse themselves in the School of Management community. Notably, a group photo of the incoming Class of 2029 was scheduled for 2:30 p.m..
Weather permitting, the event took place in the Paula T. Agrusa Plaza and on the lawn outside the Jacobs Management Center. In case of inclement weather, the festivities would shift indoors.
