Three Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision in Mission Valley

A two-vehicle collision in Mission Valley on October 20, 2023, resulted in injuries to three individuals, including a six-year-old girl. The incident occurred in the westbound lanes of the 3200 block of Camino Del Rio North, as reported by the San Diego Police Department.

According to police, an 18-year-old man was driving a 2009 Infiniti G37 when he crossed over the solid double-yellow lines into oncoming traffic. He collided with a 2011 Chevy Camaro driven by a 35-year-old woman. The impact of the crash caused significant injuries to both drivers and the young passenger.

The male driver sustained a fractured femur and a lacerated spleen, while the female driver also suffered a fractured femur. The six-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the Camaro, experienced a fractured shoulder. Fortunately, all injuries are currently deemed non-life-threatening.

Authorities have confirmed that alcohol was not a contributing factor in the crash. Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident, which has raised concerns about road safety in the area.

As the investigation unfolds, it highlights the importance of adhering to traffic regulations to prevent such accidents and ensure the safety of all road users.
