The third season of the popular series School Spirits is set to premiere on January 28, 2024, featuring a three-episode launch. This exciting announcement was made during a panel at the CCXP event in São Paulo, Brazil, where attendees were treated to the first glimpse of the upcoming season.
In this new chapter, Peyton List reprises her role as Maddie Nears, who is faced with a complex mystery that intertwines the lives of the living and the dead. “Now she’s back in her body and trying to pick up the pieces of her life,” List said, referring to her character’s journey. Maddie’s best friend, Simon, portrayed by Kristian Ventura, is trapped in the afterlife, leading them both to uncover the dark secrets surrounding Split River High.
As Maddie navigates her dual responsibilities, she grapples with unsettling visions that complicate her situation. “She’s fallen completely in love with these [deceased] characters, so it’s really hard for her to choose,” List explained, emphasizing the emotional stakes for her character.
The series continues to explore themes of friendship and mystery, as Maddie and Simon delve into the circumstances of multiple deaths at their school. They also aim to decode a warning previously issued by Mr. Martin, played by Josh Zuckerman. The cast is rounded out by several talented actors, including Spencer MacPherson, Kiara Pichardo, Sarah Yarkin, Nick Pugliese, Rainbow Wedell, Ci Hang Ma, Miles Elliot, and Milo Manheim. Newcomers to the cast for this season include Jennifer Tilly, Ari Dalbert, and Erika Swayze.
