Phenom Achieves Sixth Year on Inc. 5000, Expands AI HR Solutions

Phenom, an applied artificial intelligence company based in Philadelphia, PA, has secured a place on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private businesses for the sixth consecutive year. This recognition underscores the company’s commitment to innovation and growth, especially during a period marked by economic challenges and shifting market dynamics. The Inc. 5000 list has previously featured major companies such as Microsoft, Meta, Oracle, and Under Armour.

“Making the Inc. 5000 is always a remarkable achievement, but earning a spot this year speaks volumes about a company’s tenacity and clarity of vision,” stated Mike Hofman, editor-in-chief of Inc. “These businesses have thrived amid rising costs and constant change. They didn’t just weather the storm—they grew through it.”

Expanding AI-Driven HR Solutions

Phenom’s recent accolade adds to its growing list of achievements, including being named a Top 25 AI Company by The Software Report and receiving the award for Best Cloud HR/HRMS Solution in the 2024/25 Cloud Awards. The company’s platform aims to streamline the hiring, development, and retention processes by integrating data standardization, generative and agentic AI, compliance, personalization, and deep integration with existing human resources systems.

In a significant advancement, Phenom launched AI Agents specifically tailored for human resources teams in 2025. These innovative tools aim to align business strategy with execution, adapting to the unique needs of various industries while transforming unstructured data into actionable insights. Phenom claims that these purpose-built agents tackle sector-specific challenges, such as verifying clinical expertise in healthcare, managing high-volume hiring in retail, ensuring compliance in financial services, and responding to evolving workforce demands in manufacturing.

Commitment to Native AI Development

While many companies are retrofitting AI features onto existing systems, Phenom focuses on developing AI solutions from the ground up. “Most companies are retrofitting AI features into their existing product and hoping businesses will see value. We’re building native AI solutions,” noted Mahe Bayireddi, CEO and co-founder of Phenom. “As an AI company, we continue to create solutions like agents that address the specific challenges of HR and can execute efficiently and reliably within that domain. This native AI approach is why we’re seeing rapid adoption and sustained growth.”

By merging technological innovation with industry-specific applications, Phenom reinforces its position as a leader in the applied AI landscape for human resources. Its ongoing growth and consistent recognition on the Inc. 5000 list highlight the increasing demand for advanced HR technology and the company’s ability to deliver scalable solutions in a rapidly evolving market.

As businesses around the world continue to adapt to new challenges, Phenom’s commitment to advancing AI-driven HR solutions positions it well for future growth and influence in the industry.
