Authorities in Lower Moreland Township, Pennsylvania, have arrested Igor Dzhumaev, a 44-year-old man, after he allegedly returned to a local bar brandishing a machete and a nail gun. This incident occurred on the night of August 2, 2025, following his earlier removal from the establishment due to disorderly conduct.
The initial call to police came from the 2800 block of Philmont Avenue, where officers were dispatched to investigate reports of a disturbance. According to the Lower Moreland Township Police Department, witnesses indicated that Dzhumaev and another individual had been asked to leave the bar after becoming argumentative while under the influence of alcohol. By the time authorities arrived, both men had left the scene in an SUV.
Return with Weapons
Later that evening, around 23:03, police received another call regarding a suspicious person at the same location. The caller reported that one of the previously removed individuals had returned, this time allegedly armed with a machete. Officers quickly identified Dzhumaev as he approached the bar with what appeared to be a sword-like weapon in one hand and a nail gun in the other.
Surveillance footage and witness accounts confirmed that Dzhumaev was seen opening the trunk of a vehicle prior to his approach. Upon arrival, police apprehended him at the scene, where he appeared to be intoxicated.
Charges Filed
Dzhumaev now faces serious charges, including two counts of terroristic threats: one for the intent to terrorize and another for causing significant public inconvenience. Additional charges include possession of a prohibited offensive weapon, disorderly conduct, harassment, and public drunkenness.
As the legal process progresses, Dzhumaev is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities continue to gather information related to the incident.
