Rahamim was initially injured during intense clashes in southern Gaza, as the IDF continues its military operations in the region. His death brings the total number of Israeli soldiers killed since the onset of violence on October 7, 2022, to 915. The IDF reported that among these fatalities, 468 soldiers have lost their lives since the commencement of ground operations on October 27.
In a separate incident, the IDF also confirmed the death of Sgt. First Class (Res.) Michael Mordechai Nachmani, who was killed in combat while engaged in operations in Gaza on Friday. The ongoing conflict has claimed numerous lives, with military engagements intensifying in the region.
The loss of Chief Sgt. Rahamim and Sgt. Nachmani has deeply impacted their families and communities, underscoring the human cost of the conflict. As the situation in Gaza remains volatile, the IDF continues to conduct operations aimed at addressing security threats.
