At approximately 23:35, officers in the area heard multiple gunshots and promptly moved toward the source. Upon arrival, they encountered an armed suspect allegedly discharging a firearm in their direction.
According to the Chester Police Department, several officers returned fire, striking the suspect and neutralizing the immediate threat. The suspect sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was subsequently transported to Christiana Hospital for medical treatment.
