CleanSpace is enhancing its position in the cleanroom solutions market through a series of strategic leadership appointments and service expansions. The company aims to solidify its role as a comprehensive partner in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, and advanced manufacturing sectors.
Key Leadership Appointments to Propel Growth
In February 2025, CleanSpace promoted Nicholas Vermont to Chief Operating Officer. Vermont’s focus will be on overseeing operations and optimizing processes as the company scales its services. Brian Bennett, who previously held the position of Vice President of Sales, has been elevated to Executive Vice President. In this role, he will spearhead CleanSpace’s commercial strategy and long-term market positioning.
Furthermore, in April 2025, the company appointed Robert Griffith as Chief Strategy Officer and Mike Wieffering as Vice President of the CleanShield Division. Griffith, who brings over 30 years of experience in sterile pharmaceutical facility management, will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives within CleanShield. Wieffering, with four decades of expertise in cleanroom project delivery, will focus on operational execution, compliance, and client service delivery.
National Expansion of CleanShield Services
As part of its growth strategy, CleanSpace has launched a new office in Ferndale, Michigan, which will serve as the national headquarters for CleanShield services. This new facility features a client showroom and technical workshop space, aimed at enhancing the company’s post-construction service offerings. These services include:
- Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV)
- Maintenance programs and emergency response
- Technical documentation and compliance support
- Workforce development and training programs
By centralizing CleanShield operations, CleanSpace is positioning itself to provide faster and more efficient service nationwide, bridging the gap between construction turnover and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) readiness.
In July 2025, Julie Tareco joined CleanSpace as Vice President of Preconstruction, enhancing the firm’s capabilities in the initial phases of project delivery. Tareco, who has 28 years of experience in MEP systems and infrastructure planning, will lead initiatives in estimating, scope development, and value engineering to ensure clarity and precision from project inception.
Strategic Vision for Future Growth
Glenn VandeGrift, President of CleanSpace, described these developments as integral to the company’s evolution into a partner that supports clients “from concept to commercialization.” With a cohesive leadership team, expanded service footprint, and advanced technical expertise, CleanSpace aims to deliver integrated solutions that ensure operational readiness and compliance for its clients.
“CleanSpace’s growth is more than operational,” VandeGrift stated. “With our strengthened leadership team, deeper service offering, and expanded footprint, we’re delivering not just facilities—but commercialization certainty.”
Through these strategic initiatives, CleanSpace is positioning itself as a national leader in cleanroom design, construction, and post-construction services, laying the groundwork for continued expansion and deeper partnerships with clients across various sectors.
