Barron Trump has officially moved into the White House as he embarks on his sophomore year at New York University’s Washington, D.C., campus. This satellite campus, which admits only up to 120 students each semester, focuses on social sciences, including politics, history, economics, and journalism. The D.C. campus also offers an Executive MBA program through the Stern School of Business.
Previously, the youngest son of former President Donald Trump lived at Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan, commuting approximately 20 minutes via motorcade to his classes at NYU’s Washington Square campus. Classmate Kaya Walker, the former president of the NYU chapter of College Republicans, described Barron as “sort of like an oddity on campus.” Walker noted, “He goes to class, he goes home,” and recalled a professor joking that Barron Trump “doesn’t really belong here.”
Despite feeling somewhat out of place at NYU, Barron was characterized by some as a “ladies man” and had been in a relationship that reportedly has since ended. According to a source speaking to People, Barron is now focusing on his studies and entrepreneurial aspirations, stating, “I don’t think that’s a big deal in his life right now. He has more school, a family who dotes on him, and a career of his own he is launching.”
Barron’s last public appearance with his father was during the inauguration. Throughout Barron’s first year of college, First Lady Melania Trump spent significant time in New York City to be near him. However, she is now expected to increase her presence at the White House, becoming more involved in the Trump administration’s initiatives.
In a recent engagement, Melania Trump hosted the second meeting of the Artificial Intelligence Education task force at the White House. This task force was established following an executive order issued by President Trump in April, aimed at promoting AI literacy and proficiency among American youth.
The relocation marks a new chapter for Barron Trump as he balances his academic pursuits and family life within the unique setting of the White House. As he navigates this transition, the support from his family remains a constant presence in his life.
