Woman Brutally Attacked with Crowbar in Rosemead Restaurant

URGENT UPDATE: A woman was violently attacked by a man wielding a crowbar inside a Rosemead restaurant late Monday night. The shocking incident occurred just before 10:30 PM at the Sweet Treat Dessert House, located in the 8500 block of Valley Boulevard, as confirmed by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The brutal assault unfolded as the victim, an Asian woman, sought refuge in the restaurant. Eyewitness footage reveals the terrifying moments when a masked man, wearing a backwards baseball cap, followed her inside. He struck her multiple times with the crowbar, hitting her at least three times before fleeing the scene. Patrons and staff watched in horror as the violence erupted in front of them.

Deputies arrived shortly after receiving reports of the attack and found the woman on the ground, conscious but in distress. Medical personnel from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded promptly, transporting her to a local hospital. Her current condition has not been disclosed.

The assailant, described as an approximately 30-year-old Asian male clad in all-black clothing, remains at large. Authorities conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate him. The victim indicated that she did not know the suspect prior to the incident, raising concerns about the randomness of the attack.

This shocking event has left the community reeling, highlighting ongoing safety concerns in public spaces. The LASD’s Temple Station is actively investigating and urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be reported directly to the detectives at 626-285-7131.
