West Valley City Man Charged with Assault After Road Rage Attack

UPDATE: A 24-year-old man from West Valley City, Utah, has been charged with assault following a violent road rage incident that occurred on August 5, 2025. Everadro Davila faces serious allegations after reportedly punching another driver in the face during a confrontation triggered by a vehicle collision.

According to police reports, the incident unfolded around 3500 South when Davila, driving a GMC, attempted to overtake a Toyota driven by the victim. Witnesses claim that Davila was weaving through traffic at a high rate of speed before the two vehicles collided. The tension escalated after both drivers pulled into a nearby parking lot to address the crash.

In a shocking turn, Davila allegedly engaged in a heated verbal exchange with the victim, which culminated in him “suddenly punching” the victim in the head. Eyewitnesses reported that the victim suffered a laceration from the blow, requiring stitches. This alarming act of violence raises concerns about road safety and the dangers of aggressive driving.

West Valley City Police responded to the scene, where they discovered that Davila did not possess a valid driver’s license. While he was not immediately arrested, authorities issued a summons for him to appear in court regarding the charges of assault with bodily injury, enhanced by road rage, as well as two additional infractions for unsafe lane travel and driving without a license.

This incident highlights a growing concern over road rage incidents, which can lead to serious injuries and fatalities. As investigations continue, community members are urged to remain vigilant and report aggressive driving behaviors.

The court will schedule Davila’s initial appearance soon, and developments in this case are expected to draw significant public interest. Stay tuned for updates on this developing story as authorities continue to monitor the situation.
