URGENT UPDATE: The United States Postal Service (USPS) is set to shut down most of its operations for a full 24 hours on Easter Sunday, April 5, but customers can utilize a crucial loophole to ensure their deliveries continue uninterrupted.
USPS will close all of its 31,000 branches across the country for the holiday, marking one of only 12 scheduled closures throughout the year. However, for those needing to send packages urgently, Priority Mail Express services will remain operational, safeguarding against any service disruption for high-priority deliveries.
This closure comes just weeks after USPS halted all operations for Presidents’ Day on February 16. As the Easter shutdown approaches, customers are urged to consider their mailing options now to avoid delays. After Easter, the next USPS shutdown is scheduled for Memorial Day on May 25.
In addition to USPS, other major delivery services are also impacted. FedEx has confirmed it will not operate on Easter and will have limited service on Good Friday, April 3, as well as certain closures on the Saturday preceding Easter. Meanwhile, UPS plans to maintain pick-up and delivery on Good Friday but will not operate on Easter Sunday.
This situation is especially critical for businesses and individuals relying on timely deliveries for essential items. With the holiday season approaching, many are looking to navigate these service interruptions effectively.
Customers are encouraged to plan accordingly, keeping in mind the various delivery service schedules to ensure their packages arrive on time. With only a few days left before the Easter shutdown, now is the time to take action.
Stay tuned for further updates as we monitor the situation.
