At 7:18 a.m. on January 15, a significant event unfolded on West Liberty Street, Salisbury, where a man was arrested for possession of a dangerous drug. Just hours later, at 2:50 p.m., another arrest took place on Weant Street, East Spencer, for possession or concealment of a weapon.
The situation escalated with a driving while impaired charge at 12:25 a.m. on Long Ferry Road, Salisbury, raising concerns about public safety on local roads. Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant as they investigate these incidents.
In a troubling pattern, fraud by identity theft was reported at Parks Field Drive, Kannapolis, between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on January 13, although it was officially documented on January 15. This reflects a growing trend of identity theft that is affecting community members.
A burglary and vandalism incident occurred at N.C. Highway 801, Woodleaf, on January 15 between 4 a.m. and 4 p.m., further alarming residents about safety in their neighborhoods.
In a serious escalation, an assault and possession of a dangerous drug were reported at Wyant Road, Rockwell, at 7:10 p.m. on January 15, highlighting the urgent need for increased law enforcement presence.

On January 17, Ray Allen Glen Spry, 42, was apprehended for felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Just a day later, on January 18, Craig Allen Garmon, 52, was charged with felony possession of a stolen vehicle. These arrests signal a crack down on drug-related offenses and vehicle thefts.
