Urgent: Last Chance for Pet Owners to Claim $140 from $1.9M Settlement

URGENT UPDATE: Pet owners have just hours left to claim a share of a $1.9 million settlement from a class action lawsuit against Radio Systems Corp., the makers of PetSafe products. The deadline for claims is December 29, and eligible consumers could receive up to $140 per product purchased.

This lawsuit stems from allegations that the company misled consumers about the safety of its electronic collars, asserting they were “safe” and “harmless,” despite evidence suggesting they could be “gravely dangerous” to pets. Pet owners who purchased certain PetSafe e-collars, including various Bark Collar products, between October 1, 2018, and October 31, 2022, are urged to act immediately.

Consumers can claim $30 for each Bark Collar Product, $35 for Barrier Products, $90 for In-Ground Fence Products, and $140 for Wireless Fence Products. The collars are designed to deliver electric shocks to discourage unwanted behavior, like excessive barking. However, the lawsuit argues that these devices can cause significant stress and confusion in pets, potentially leading to depression.

Radio Systems Corp. has denied wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to avoid further litigation costs. No proof of purchase is required unless more than three items are claimed.

Pet owners are encouraged to act NOW to ensure they do not miss out on this financial relief. The potential payout could significantly help families during the holiday season, coinciding with an upcoming increase in Social Security payments for millions of Americans.

As the clock ticks down, pet owners are reminded that this is a limited-time opportunity to secure compensation for their purchases and to voice their concerns about the safety of pet training products. For those eligible, this could be a critical moment to reclaim funds and advocate for better practices in pet care.

For more information on how to file a claim, visit the official settlement website or contact legal representatives involved in the case. Don’t wait—time is running out!
