UPDATE: Luzerne County is buzzing with exciting events this week, starting with the 147th annual St. David’s Day Banquet today at 4 p.m. at the Westmoreland Club in Wilkes-Barre. Tickets are selling fast at $50 each and $150 for patron tickets for two. Join the celebration featuring a delightful dinner, open bar, and live entertainment!
In addition, don’t miss the 44th Annual Suzanne Maria Rossetti Memorial Juried Art Exhibit from 1 to 4 p.m. today at the Schulman Gallery, Luzerne County Community College, Nanticoke. An awards ceremony will take place at 4 p.m. in the James T. Atherton Gymnasium, presenting nearly $10,000 in community-sponsored awards to talented students in grades 7–12.
Looking ahead, the Keystone State Literacy Association is hosting a special Reading Day on March 7, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Boscov’s in Wilkes-Barre. This family-friendly event will feature story times, crafts, and free books for the first 50 children.
