A particularly alarming event occurred on January 18, when authorities responded to a burglary by forcible entry in the 300 block of Calhoun Street. The same day, a series of shoplifting incidents continued, with losses ranging from $7 to $343.

The crime wave escalated further with reports of an assault at 1000 block of Oakmont Court on January 17, and the emergency response to a shooting incident in the 400 block of Julia Drive the following day at 8:10 p.m.

In a chilling report, authorities confirmed that arson took place in the 1100 block of Crosby Street early on January 21, where a vehicle was intentionally set on fire.

Authorities from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office are also investigating a series of related crimes. Notably, on January 19, Nasir Nyheim Fudge, 25, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance within a penal institution. Additionally, Dylan Andrew Martin, 26, faces felony charges for breaking and entering with the intent to terrorize or injure, while Barry Laneil Bostic, 34, has been charged as a fugitive from justice.

These incidents highlight a troubling trend in the Salisbury area, raising community concerns about safety and security. Local authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities immediately.

As investigations continue, officials stress the importance of community cooperation in addressing this crime wave. Residents are encouraged to contact the Salisbury Police Department with any information that may assist in these ongoing investigations.
