Trump Organization Pursues Major Deal in Saudi Arabia NOW

UPDATE: The Trump Organization is eyeing a significant business deal in Saudi Arabia, potentially adding a new Trump-branded property to one of the kingdom’s largest government-owned developments. According to a Monday report from the New York Times, discussions are underway as President Donald Trump meets with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House this week.

This development matters RIGHT NOW due to ongoing concerns about potential conflicts of interest. While Trump has handed over his business interests to his sons, Eric and Donald Jr., critics argue that his ties to oil-rich Gulf nations continue to blur the lines between politics and business.

Sources indicate that the Trump Organization is focusing on a luxury project in Diriyah, a historic town that is part of a $63 billion development aimed at transforming the area into a luxury destination. The organization is working with Dar Global, a luxury real estate developer, to advance this ambitious venture.

The Trump Organization, which operates hotels, commercial buildings, and golf courses globally, is already planning a Trump tower in Jeddah and has announced two projects in Riyadh. Eric Trump, speaking to Reuters in December 2024, emphasized that he has had “no interaction with Washington D.C.” when questioned about possible conflicts.

The urgency of this situation is heightened as the White House prepares for critical discussions between Trump and the Crown Prince on high-profile security and investment agreements, set for Tuesday, October 17, 2023. The meeting could redefine U.S. relations with Saudi Arabia, especially concerning the ongoing influence of Trump’s business ties.

Critics, including the watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW), have highlighted potential ethical issues surrounding Trump’s global travel, which often promotes Trump Organization properties. In a report released on October 14, 2023, CREW noted the implications of Trump’s ventures abroad.

Jerry Inzerillo, CEO of the Diriyah development, hinted at exciting announcements coming soon, stating, “Nothing announced yet, but soon to be.” As the situation develops, the implications for both the Trump Organization and U.S.-Saudi relations remain significant.

Stay tuned for further updates as this story unfolds and the outcomes of the high-stakes meetings are revealed. This is a developing story that could have immediate repercussions on international business and diplomatic relations.
