URGENT UPDATE: The Epilepsy Walk Los Angeles is gearing up to welcome nearly 4,000 participants this March 14, 2024, at the Pasadena Rose Bowl. This highly anticipated event aims to raise vital awareness about epilepsy while generating funds for programs that provide crucial support and access to treatment.
Starting at 8:30 AM and running until 12:30 PM, attendees can participate in a non-competitive 5K run and walk or a 1-mile stroll. The event promises to be family-friendly, featuring an array of activities including a pop-up village for children, information booths about epilepsy, arts and crafts stations, a photo booth, and an interactive art piece known as the Wishing Wall. Musical performances and an awards presentation will further enhance the community spirit.
With a ticket price of $25 for participants aged two years and older, online registration closes promptly at noon on March 13. However, those who miss the deadline can still register on-site starting at 8 AM on the day of the event.
This year’s walk is not just a fundraiser; it’s a movement to foster a supportive community for those affected by epilepsy. Organizers emphasize the importance of increasing access to specialty treatment and resources to improve the quality of life for individuals living with epilepsy.
