Regina Hall Returns for Scary Movie 6: New Plot Revealed!

URGENT UPDATE: Regina Hall is set to reprise her iconic role as Brenda Meeks in Scary Movie 6, scheduled to premiere in theaters on June 12, 2026. Hall confirmed her involvement during an appearance on Variety’s Awards Circuit Podcast, revealing exciting details about the upcoming sequel.

Hall, who has become a fan-favorite since the franchise’s inception, expressed her enthusiasm for returning to the role. “I read the script — and it was really funny,” she stated, emphasizing the comedic elements that drew her back. The actress highlighted the thrill of reuniting with original cast members, including Anna Faris, who plays Cindy Campbell. “Brenda can’t live without Cindy,” Hall noted, underscoring the strong bond between their characters.

The actress elaborated on the factors influencing her decision to return, citing “nostalgia” and the “timing” as significant motivators. Hall described the script as refreshingly irreverent, saying, “It was a good time to do something so broad and fun.”

Directed by Michael Tiddes, known for his work on Fifty Shades of Black, Scary Movie 6 will feature a script by the Wayans brothers—Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans—along with Rick Alvarez. The returning cast includes not only Hall and Faris but also Marlon Wayans as Shorty Meeks, Shawn Wayans as Ray Wilkins, Jon Abrahams as Bobby Prinze, and Dave Sheridan as Doofy Gilmore.

Fans of the franchise can anticipate a mix of humor and nostalgia when the film hits theaters next summer. With the original cast back together, Hall’s return as Brenda promises to deliver the laughs audiences have come to love.

Stay tuned for more updates as details about Scary Movie 6 continue to develop! This film is sure to be a significant event for fans and newcomers alike.
