URGENT UPDATE: Providence Swedish is calling for former patients and their family members to join the Patient Family Advisory Council (PFAC) and help shape the future of healthcare in the South Puget Sound area. This initiative, launched in 2011, seeks individuals who can share their experiences and insights to foster improvements in patient care at Providence Medical Group clinics, as well as Providence St. Peter Hospital and Providence Centralia Hospital.
Chief Executive Darin Goss stated, “Providence Swedish in South Puget Sound is committed to partnering with patients, families, and caregivers throughout the healthcare experience.” He emphasized the critical role of PFAC members in influencing policies and practices that directly impact patient care. “With PFAC members serving on committees, the eyes of the patient are always with us,” he added.
The PFAC convenes from noon to 2 p.m. on the first Friday of each month, offering both in-person and virtual attendance options through video conferencing. Providence Swedish is particularly eager to welcome members from diverse backgrounds to ensure a broad range of perspectives.
Interested candidates must complete an application, participate in an interview, and finish the volunteer recruitment process.
