Prolific Prep Tops 2025-26 Boys’ Basketball Rankings, Season Kicks Off!

BREAKING: The highly anticipated boys’ basketball season for 2025-26 is officially underway, with Prolific Prep claiming the top spot in the SC Next Top 25 rankings. The Crew, hailing from Florida, boasts a formidable roster that includes four ranked prospects, including the standout Caleb Holt, a five-star player ranked No. 6 for 2026, and Bruce Branch III, ranked No. 2 for 2027.

As the season kicks off, Prolific Prep aims to build on an impressive last season where they achieved 35 wins and secured a fourth-place finish nationally. The team’s depth and talent make them a formidable force in high school basketball this year.

Following closely behind is Link Academy from Missouri, securing the No. 2 position with an impressive lineup featuring eight ranked prospects. Meanwhile, Southeastern Prep makes its SC Next Top 25 debut at No. 3, led by the talented Jaxon Richardson, a five-star transfer from Columbus ranked No. 11 for 2026.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. Notable programs like IMG Academy, ranked No. 4, and SPIRE Academy of Ohio, ranked No. 7 and coached by the renowned Kevin Boyle, are poised to challenge for top honors this season. The rankings also highlight Archbishop Stepinac from New York, currently sitting at No. 9.
