UPDATE: The highly anticipated second season of “Paradise” has just wrapped production and is set to debut on Hulu in early 2024. Star Sterling K. Brown has teased fans that they are “not prepared” for the thrilling new twists ahead.
WARNING: Season one spoilers follow! The first season concluded with the shocking revelation of who killed President Cal Bradford, played by James Marsden, while Brown’s character, Xavier Collins, was seen leaving the bunker to search for his wife.
In exciting news, season two will feature guest stars including Shailene Woodley, Thomas Doherty, and Michael McGrady, among others. Speaking at the recent AAFCA TV Honors, where “Paradise” won for Best Drama and Brown took home Best Actor, Krys Marshall, who plays Agent Robinson, shared her emotional reaction to the show’s success.
“I feel like I’ve been dropped into an alternate universe where everything is going my way,” Marshall expressed. She also hinted at what viewers can expect in the upcoming season: “We’re going to see what life was like for those who didn’t make it inside the bunker. Episode one really is strong. We come out the gate swinging!”
Aliyah Mastin, who portrays Collins’ daughter, Presley, issued a warning about a returning character: “Watch out for Jane. That’s all I’ll say.” Jane, played by Nicole Brydon Bloom, was a major threat in season one, having kidnapped Presley and caused chaos.
Marshall also revealed that season two will include more flashbacks, stating, “Dan Fogelman, our creator, loves a good flashback. We will explore another side of the day it all happened.” Fogelman himself shared insights earlier this summer, confirming that viewers will learn more about the origins of “Paradise” and the construction of the bunker.
He added, “In the second season, we’ll see what happens when revolution is fermented down below, and for those who survived outside, what their bunkers were like.”
Brown conveyed his excitement, stating, “As a fan of the show, I started doing a little dance when I read the new scripts. What they’re about to get is something dope, baby! It’s gonna be hot!”
With all this buzz, “Paradise” is not only making waves in the entertainment industry but is also nominated for four Emmy Awards, showcasing its critical acclaim and popularity.
Fans can catch up on season one of “Paradise” now available on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+ as anticipation builds for what is sure to be an explosive second season. Don’t miss out on the drama that has everyone talking!
