UPDATE: The highly anticipated Omnium Circus is set to debut its inclusive show “I’m Possible” in Garland, Texas, with performances on March 16 at 7 p.m. and March 17 at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at the Atrium. This groundbreaking circus, founded by Lisa B. Lewis in 2020, aims to create joy and entertainment for everyone, regardless of their abilities.
This isn’t just any circus—it’s a transformative experience that highlights the power of inclusion. Lewis, who has a rich history in the circus world, was inspired to create Omnium Circus after witnessing a powerful moment during a performance. “I realized the power of inclusion,” she said, reflecting on how a simple act of communicating in sign language shifted the atmosphere of her show.
The hour-long performance features an impressive lineup, including Mandy Harvey, a deaf singer-songwriter and finalist from America’s Got Talent, and Malik Paris, a deaf ringmaster who will guide the sign-language portion of the show. The second ringmaster, Johnathan Lee Iverson, the first Black ringmaster for a major U.S. circus, will lead the vocal segment.
Audiences can expect thrilling acts such as the six-time Paraclimbing World Cup champion and the world’s fastest female juggler, along with local talent from Dallas. The mission of Omnium Circus, with its name meaning “of all” and “belonging to all,” is to elevate the belief in ourselves and showcase the best of humanity through the art of circus.
Tickets are available now, priced at $21.99 for youth and $27.19 for adults. The Atrium is located at 300 N. 5th Street, Garland. This unique event promises to be an unforgettable experience, merging entertainment with a powerful message of inclusion.
