NBA Rank Countdown Begins: Top Players Revealed for 2025-26

UPDATE: The NBA is rolling out its highly anticipated rank of the top players for the 2025-26 season, with the countdown starting NOW! The rankings showcase players from Nos. 100 to 51, revealing who made the cut and who fell short in this year’s competitive landscape.

Experts across the league have debated and voted on over 20,000 player matchups, resulting in a list that includes rising stars and established names. Among the first ten players revealed, RJ Barrett of the Toronto Raptors lands at No. 100 after a career-high average of 21.1 points per game last season. Barrett is looking to build on his performance as he integrates with new teammate Brandon Ingram.

Meanwhile, Stephon Castle, the No. 4 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, jumps straight into the rankings at No. 99 following an impressive rookie year with the San Antonio Spurs. Castle’s standout performance earned him the Rookie of the Year title, with an average of 26 20-point games.

The rankings continue to spark excitement as fans eagerly await the next tier, with players Nos. 50 through 11 set to be announced Wednesday, and the top ten players will be revealed on Thursday. The NBA Rank panel, consisting of over 150 experts from ESPN, evaluated players based solely on their potential contributions for the upcoming season.
