Man Dies After Shooting Wife in Redwood City, Police Confirm

UPDATE: A man who allegedly shot and killed his wife in Redwood City has died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police confirmed on Wednesday. The tragic incident unfolded early Sunday morning, shocking the local community.

Authorities identified the victims as Armando Madrigal Barajas Jr. and Denise Alessan Madrigal Martinez, both aged 36 and residents of Redwood City. Police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on the 1300 block of Seaport Boulevard shortly after midnight. Officers discovered the couple unconscious in their car, both suffering from apparent gunshot wounds to the head.

Denise was pronounced dead at the scene, while Armando, initially showing signs of life, was rushed to a nearby hospital. Tragically, his injuries were deemed nonsurvivable, and he never regained consciousness.
