URGENT UPDATE: Hideo Kojima has just unveiled the first official poster for his highly anticipated game, Physint, during the Kojima Productions 10th-anniversary livestream today, October 10, 2023. This forthcoming PlayStation-exclusive title marks a return to the “tactical espionage action” genre, reminiscent of Kojima’s iconic Metal Gear Solid series.
The newly released poster features the game’s enigmatic protagonist, shrouded in mystery. During the livestream, Kojima addressed the recent delays in casting caused by the SAG-AFTRA strikes, but confirmed three major cast members: Don Lee (known for Eternals and Train to Busan), Charlee Fraser (from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), and Minami Hamabe (who appeared in Godzilla Minus One).
Kojima emphasized the innovative nature of Physint, stating, “[Physint] will be both a game and a movie at the same time.” He further elaborated that the game’s design aims to be so cinematic that even a casual observer would mistake it for a film.
The game will utilize an advanced version of the Decima Engine, which also powered Death Stranding and Horizon Zero Dawn. Although a release date is not confirmed, Kojima hinted that Physint is expected to launch within the next six years.
In addition to the Physint announcements, the livestream showcased three minutes of in-engine footage for OD, another highly awaited title, which appears to take inspiration from P.T.. Alongside these reveals, Kojima Productions also teased a Death Stranding anime and even a unique Kojima Productions sake.
As excitement builds around Physint, fans are left wondering about the future of Kojima’s groundbreaking storytelling and gameplay. This announcement is generating buzz across social media platforms, as gamers and enthusiasts share their thrill and anticipation for what Kojima has in store.
Stay tuned for more updates as developments unfold in the gaming world, particularly from Kojima Productions.
