URGENT UPDATE: Starting Monday, July 28, residents of Bemidji can collect FREE wood chips at the Target Debris Site, located at 2115 23rd St. NW. This initiative, announced by Beltrami County, will run from 3 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday until August 8.
Residents are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to obtain free wood chips, which could be valuable for landscaping and gardening projects. An operator will be on site to assist with loading the chips, but please note that this service is exclusive to heavy-duty trailers and trucks. For those using other vehicles, a self-serve option will be available.
To reach the Target Debris Site, drivers should follow the Hannah Avenue detour to 23rd St. NW. It’s important to remember that the site is no longer accepting tree debris. All tree waste must now be directed to the Demolition Landfill at 2331 North Plantagenet Road SE. The landfill operates during normal hours, with extended hours on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
This initiative not only aids residents in enhancing their properties but also promotes sustainability by recycling tree debris into useful resources.
Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story and take advantage of this limited-time offer for free wood chips! Share this news with your neighbors and friends who might benefit from this essential service.
