URGENT UPDATE: Residents of Kent County, MI can secure a free tree sapling for their yards on October 11, 2023! The Lower Grand River Organization of Watersheds (LGROW), in collaboration with the Kent Conservation District, is giving away 1,000 saplings while supplies last.
This initiative is part of the Michigan Forests to Faucets grant, funded by the U.S. Forest Service and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources. Residents are encouraged to act quickly to pre-order their saplings by filling out a survey.
The pickup location for these free saplings is at 3260 Eagle Park Dr. NE, Suite 111 in Grand Rapids. This opportunity not only promotes environmental health but also enhances community involvement in local conservation efforts.
