Five Wounded in Urgent San Francisco Supermarket Shooting

URGENT UPDATE: Five people have been wounded in a shooting outside a Safeway supermarket in San Francisco’s Outer Richmond neighborhood on Saturday night. The incident occurred around 9 p.m., prompting immediate response from the San Francisco Police Department and the San Francisco Fire Department, who rushed multiple victims to local hospitals.

Authorities confirmed that one adult man suffered life-threatening injuries, while four juveniles sustained non-life-threatening wounds. Eyewitnesses describe a scene of chaos as gunfire erupted near Fulton Street and Great Highway, sending bystanders into a panic.

Police officials have characterized the shooting as an isolated incident, assuring the community that there is no ongoing threat. However, no arrests have been made, and investigations are currently active as detectives gather evidence and seek to identify suspects.

The shooting has left the typically family-friendly Outer Richmond neighborhood shaken, highlighting ongoing public safety concerns under the new administration of Mayor Daniel Lurie. In a statement, Lurie expressed, “This kind of violence does not represent who we are as a city, and we will never tolerate it.”

Witness Tommy Corcoran, 19, recounted the harrowing moments as he hid behind a log in a nearby park after hearing the gunshots. The community is now grappling with the trauma of violence erupting in what is usually a safe area.

What Happens Next? Investigators are actively pursuing leads and encouraging anyone with information about the shooting to contact the police at 415-575-4444 or submit anonymous tips via text to TIP411. The focus remains on ensuring the safety of residents and restoring calm to the neighborhood.

As the investigation unfolds, stay tuned for the latest developments on this disturbing incident.
