UPDATE: Denver is lighting up for the holidays! This year, residents can experience a dazzling array of holiday light displays across the city, with events kicking off now and continuing through December 2025. Event organizers are inviting everyone to immerse themselves in festive cheer. The Denver Zoo is showcasing over 3 million lights across its 80 acres, creating a breathtaking experience for visitors of all ages. Tickets are available now, and the event runs through the end of December.

In Highlands Ranch, a local home is turning heads with a holiday display that includes a life-sized Chewbacca in a Santa hat and an illuminated maze of colorful string lights. The homeowners are encouraging donations to local cancer charities, making this display not just beautiful but also impactful.

For those seeking a captivating drive, Christmas in Color at Red Rocks offers a stunning light tunnel that is perfect for families. Select dates are available for this enchanting experience, designed to dazzle viewers with vibrant colors.

This year, visitors can also enjoy free, nightly holiday drone shows, thanks to a partnership between Visit Denver and local drone company Brightflight. Running through the end of the year, these shows can be watched from various locations, including Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus and the terrace at the Denver Art Museum.

Another highlight is the Denver Botanic Gardens, which is celebrating 40 years of its iconic Blossoms of Light showcase. This beloved event transforms the gardens into a luminous wonderland filled with immersive installations. Tickets for this magical experience are on sale now.

Additionally, don’t miss the festive display at Union Station, where a massive glowing Christmas tree and twinkling lights create a spectacular holiday atmosphere. Although Civic Center Park is closed for renovations, the nearby City and County Building remains lit with vibrant colors, making it a must-see for holiday revelers.
