Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark Renamed Through 2033 in New Deal

BREAKING NEWS: The Oklahoma City Comets and the Chickasaw Nation have just announced a major extension of the naming rights for the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark, securing the iconic name through 2033. This decision, revealed on Tuesday, underscores the deepening partnership between the two organizations and their commitment to the local community.

“Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark has played such an integral role in the story of Oklahoma City’s development,” stated Kyle Daugherty, General Manager of the OKC Comets. The ballpark, which opened in April 1998 following funding from the initial MAPS package approved by Oklahoma City voters in 1995, will continue to be a cornerstone for sporting events and family entertainment in the region.

The Chickasaw Nation has embraced this partnership, with Governor Bill Anoatubby emphasizing their ongoing support for the Comets.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to community and to creating meaningful experiences for families and fans throughout the region,”

Anoatubby stated, adding that they look forward to continuing this tradition for years to come.

In addition to retaining the naming rights, the OKC Comets have announced that premium seating on the second floor will now be designated as the Newcastle Casino Club, enhancing the fan experience for dedicated ticket holders.

This extension comes at a time when sports venues are increasingly vital to local economies and community engagement. With the naming rights secure, fans can expect continued investment in the ballpark, ensuring it remains a vibrant hub for entertainment and sports in Oklahoma City.

The significance of this deal cannot be overstated; it not only highlights the ongoing development of the Oklahoma City sports scene but also reflects a strong collaboration between a tribal nation and a professional sports team. As the community watches this partnership evolve, the ballpark is poised to remain a beloved landmark in the heart of Oklahoma City.

Stay tuned for more updates on this developing story as the Oklahoma City Comets and Chickasaw Nation continue to forge a path of shared success.
