UPDATE: Exciting action unfolded in Central Florida high school sports on Monday, November 24, with standout performances in boys basketball, girls basketball, and soccer that fans won’t want to miss.
In boys basketball at Edgewater High School, the games showcased fierce competition. Oak Ridge triumphed over Martin County with a decisive score of 80-49. Meanwhile, Stranahan edged out Evans in a close match, winning 60-54.
In the Sun Bash Orlando at Central Florida Christian Academy, Lake Howell defeated South Lake 63-53, thanks to an impressive performance from Johnas Maurice, who scored 18 points. Dwayne Foreman III fought hard for South Lake, contributing 16 points and 3 steals.
The Eustis Panthers also made headlines, beating Evangelical Christian 64-54 with Eric Glover leading the charge with an outstanding 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 steals.
Other notable scores include Sarasota defeating Winthrop Charter 74-60 and CFCA narrowly edging out Pine Ridge 66-65, where Alex DiPaolo shone with 23 points and 11 rebounds.
In girls basketball at the Silverhawk Classic held at Lake Howell High School, Seminole narrowly defeated Lake Brantley 61-57, with Riley Coombs scoring 13 points despite the loss. Lake Howell also secured victory over Bayside with a close score of 64-60.
On the soccer field, Bishop Moore showcased their skill, defeating New Smyrna Beach 2-1, with goals from Winston Weibel and Alejandro Chica. In girls soccer, Bishop Moore continued their winning streak, narrowly defeating Berkeley Prep 1-0.
