Brewers Win 12th Straight, Free Burgers For Milwaukee Residents!

UPDATE: The Milwaukee Brewers have clinched a thrilling victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates, winning 12-5 in a game that not only extends their winning streak to 12 games but also earns free burgers for the entire city of Milwaukee!

This electrifying match took place on Wednesday afternoon, where Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff felt the weight of the moment. “I was nervous,” Woodruff admitted. “There was a little bit more at stake today. I wanted to win those burgers bad. Who doesn’t want a free burger?” His determination paid off, as the Brewers maintained their perfect record this season.

Local restaurant chain George Webb has a longstanding tradition of offering free burgers to Milwaukee residents when the Brewers achieve a winning streak of 12 games. This promotion dates back decades, initially starting at 17 games with the old minor-league Brewers. When the team transitioned to a major league franchise in 1953, the threshold was adjusted to 13 games, and finally to 12 games in 1970.

In 1987, the Brewers previously achieved this feat, resulting in the giveaway of over 170,000 burgers to fans. They made history again in 2018, showcasing their dominance with a combination of regular-season victories and playoff wins. Milwaukee fans have been eagerly anticipating this moment, especially after the team’s near misses earlier this season.

George Webb’s vice president Ryan Stamm announced that the company plans to give away more than 100,000 burgers following this latest victory. “It’s been chaos,” Stamm said. “The restaurants, everyone’s talking about it. They’re excited about it. The team’s playing really well. They’re unstoppable right now, so I assume they’re going to win tonight and we’re going to be giving away burgers. It’s been fun.”

The excitement surrounding the Brewers continues to grow, and officials are expected to announce the detailed giveaway plan on Thursday afternoon. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for more information on how they can claim their complimentary burgers.

This victory not only boosts the Brewers’ confidence but also unites the city in a shared celebration of baseball and community. As the team looks forward to their next game, spirits are high, and the anticipation for the burger giveaway is palpable. Milwaukee, get ready for a delicious reward!
