Bojangles Launches EV Charging Stations Nationwide by 2026

BREAKING: Bojangles, the beloved fast-food chain known for its Cajun-spiced fried chicken, is making headlines with a groundbreaking initiative to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across its restaurants. This move, the first of its kind in the quick-service industry, aims to cater to the growing number of EV drivers and is set to roll out beginning in the fourth quarter of 2025.

As the demand for EVs surges, Bojangles is stepping up to enhance convenience for its customers. The partnership with Alyath and Smart Big Box will see at least four EV chargers installed at each location, featuring both level two and level three charging options. This means that while customers enjoy their meals, they can simultaneously charge their vehicles, making it a true one-stop shop.

Richard Del Valle, Bojangles’ Chief Information Officer, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Bojangles’ focus is on offering a fast, friendly, and convenient experience for our guests, and working with Alyath and Smart Big Box allows us to introduce a new convenience that aligns with evolving customer needs.”

The new EV charging facilities will be available at select Bojangles restaurants by 2026, with a minimum of 800 locations across 17 states expected to adopt this innovation. The move is not just about keeping up with technological advancements; it reflects Bojangles’ commitment to adapting to changing consumer preferences in an increasingly competitive market.

As more drivers switch to electric vehicles, the demand for accessible charging solutions continues to grow. Bojangles’ strategic expansion into this area signifies its intent to remain relevant and competitive among major fast-food players, including Chick-fil-A and Popeyes, who have also been innovating with new menu items and services.

This initiative is a significant step for Bojangles, a brand founded in 1977 in Charlotte, North Carolina, which has built a loyal following with its signature fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits. By incorporating EV charging stations, Bojangles not only enhances its customer experience but also aligns itself with sustainable practices, appealing to environmentally conscious consumers.

As the fast-food industry evolves, Bojangles is proving that it can innovate while staying true to its Southern roots and hospitality. This latest development is poised to make waves in the quick-service sector, making it essential for fans and customers to stay tuned for further updates on this exciting transformation.

For those eager to enjoy both delicious comfort food and convenient charging options, Bojangles is set to lead the way in merging traditional fast food with modern sustainability. Expect more details on this rollout as we approach the implementation date in late 2025.
