BREAKING: Bear Brown, star of Alaskan Bush People, has just announced that there is a possibility the beloved reality show could return after more than three years off the air. In a TikTok video shared over the weekend, he addressed persistent rumors about the show’s future, stating, “It’s looking closer and closer like it might be happening.”
As fans eagerly await updates, Bear revealed that while there is “no official word” on the series’ comeback, multiple indicators suggest that new episodes could be on the horizon. With over 660,000 followers on TikTok, Bear reassured fans that the show is still on the network’s radar.
Bear’s comments come amid ongoing speculation about the reasons behind the show’s extended hiatus. He clarified that a $500,000 lawsuit involving the late family patriarch, Billy Brown, is not the cause of the filming delays. The lawsuit, filed by Billy’s business partner shortly after his passing in February 2021, has yet to be resolved. Bear confidently stated that this legal matter would “definitely be thrown out.”
Fans have also speculated that the Brown family’s geographic spread might hinder production. Over the years, Bear and his six siblings have moved between Washington, Texas, and Alaska, creating concerns about logistics. However, Bear pointed out that the real issue stems from the merger of Warner Bros. and Discovery Channel in April 2022, leading to a complicated restructuring process.
With Warner Bros. recently acquired by Netflix for $82.7 billion, the network is preparing to split into two publicly traded companies by mid-2026. This development has sparked renewed hope among fans that Alaskan Bush People might soon make a triumphant return.
“That and the fact that our show is on hiatus greatly increases the return of Alaskan Bush People,” Bear teased, noting that the network remains interested in following the family’s journey.
Despite Bear’s optimism, many fans remain skeptical about the show’s future, especially given the lengthy absence since the last episode aired in December 2022. Reports from The U.S. Sun earlier this year indicated that the series was officially canceled after 14 seasons, leaving viewers without closure.
In the meantime, the Brown family has faced significant challenges off-screen. Bear’s sister, Rain, and her husband were arrested in April for burglary, while allegations of drug use involving her brother Noah have raised concerns. Additionally, their mother, Ami Brown, who is in remission from stage three lung cancer, experienced serious health issues earlier this year, requiring hospitalization for pneumonia.
As the situation continues to unfold, fans are left wondering if Bear’s hopeful hints will materialize into a full-fledged revival of Alaskan Bush People. With the entertainment landscape shifting rapidly, viewers will need to stay tuned for updates. The family’s saga might not be over just yet.
