Barton Community College Offers $3K in Scholarships on Junior Day

URGENT UPDATE: Barton Community College is hosting its highly anticipated Junior Day on February 13, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., offering local high school juniors a chance to win $3,000 in scholarships! This event is not only a gateway to future opportunities but also an essential stop for students looking to explore their academic options.

Students can register for this vital event at juniorday.bartonccc.edu until February 1. Attendees will participate in information sessions, campus tours, and explore various majors. Most importantly, they will have the opportunity to enter scholarship drawings, including one $1,000 scholarship and four $500 scholarships.

Tana Cooper, the Director of Admissions, urges all area juniors to seize this opportunity. “Regardless of your plans at this point, this is a great opportunity to explore what courses and career paths you might want to pursue,” she stated. With the rising costs of education, this event could significantly impact students’ academic and financial futures.

Cooper highlights that attending Barton is a strategic step for students considering a four-year college or entering the workforce. “Barton offers many of the same classes as four-year schools for transfer students, but at about half the cost,” she explained. The college’s career and technical programs are designed to be completed in just a year, leading to lucrative job opportunities.

This is more than just an academic event; it’s a chance for students to engage with their future. “Barton offers great academic programs, amazing student support, and a great college experience. We encourage all juniors to take the time to check out the campus. It’s fun, and it’s free,” Cooper added.

Parents and students alike can expect to walk away with vital information about college pathways and career options. With scholarships on the line, this is an event that cannot be missed.
