URGENT UPDATE: Food truck enthusiasts in Aurora have one last chance to indulge in culinary delights as the city hosts its final Food Truck Festival of the year this Friday, September 29, 2023. Taking place from 5 PM to 9 PM on Benton Street between Broadway and River Street, this festival promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with food, fun, and entertainment.
With an anticipated lineup of approximately 35 vendors, including many new faces, this autumn edition of the festival aims to captivate both loyal attendees and first-time visitors. Aurora Community Events Coordinator Christina DiCristofano emphasized, “Adding new vendors is a way to make sure we keep things interesting,” referencing the festival’s appeal.
This marks the second year for the fall Food Truck Festival, following a successful summer event on July 18, which attracted considerable crowds. DiCristofano noted that the festival includes about 10 new vendors this year, enhancing the variety for attendees. Among the unique offerings will be a dedicated apple cider and doughnut truck, perfect for the season.
As temperatures begin to drop, DiCristofano expressed excitement: “People know the weather is changing, and it’s going to be a while before we have another Food Truck Festival after this.” The event not only supports local food trucks and vendors but also fosters community connections, making it a must-attend experience.
In addition to the delicious food, attendees can enjoy a lively atmosphere with entertainment options including music, a balloon and bubble artist, jugglers, and more. “We have quite a few things going on this time to get people out the door from home and enjoying the last Food Truck Festival,” DiCristofano added.
