URGENT UPDATE: Authorities in Los Angeles are actively investigating a string of home burglaries linked to a woman known as Adva Lavie, a former Penthouse Pet, who allegedly preys on older men through dating apps. Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are urging potential victims to come forward as they believe there may be more victims of Lavie’s deceitful tactics.
JUST ANNOUNCED on Wednesday, sheriff’s officials revealed that Lavie, also known by the names Mia Ventura, Shoshana, or Shana, has been posing as a girlfriend or companion to gain the trust of her targets. Once she has established a relationship, she reportedly burglarizes their homes.
Michael Sartain, host of the podcast Access Vegas, witnessed Lavie’s alleged methods firsthand. During a recent election night episode, Lavie vanished for several minutes, only to return while reportedly stealing cash and credit cards from the purses of female guests in the green room. Sartain recounted, “She basically sits there for 90 minutes having stolen everyone’s credit cards and everyone’s cash out of their purses in the green room… just talking about the election while she had everyone’s stuff in her purse.”
Lavie is known to drive a black Porsche SUV and a white Mercedes-Benz sedan, making her easily recognizable. The sheriff’s department is focusing on building a case against her while appealing for anyone who may have fallen victim to Lavie’s scams to contact law enforcement immediately.
This alarming trend has raised concerns about safety on dating apps, where individuals are often unaware of the risks involved. The sheriff’s department is emphasizing the importance of vigilance and awareness when meeting individuals online.
Anyone with information regarding Lavie or her whereabouts is urged to contact the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station or the Los Angeles Police Department without delay. Your tip could help prevent further incidents and protect others from becoming victims.
As this story develops, stay tuned for updates on the investigation and potential victims coming forward. This situation serves as a critical reminder to exercise caution in the digital dating landscape.
