Google has officially introduced the new Pixel Watch 4, available in both 41mm and 45mm sizes, showcasing an array of enhancements and new features. The design remains consistent with previous models, maintaining the proprietary lugs for band connections. However, this iteration brings a fresh palette of colors for the bands, including Obsidian, Porcelain, and Moonstone for the Active Bands, as well as Indigo, Limoncello, and Iris for the Sport Bands.
The Active Bands will now feature a new material aimed at increasing comfort, while the Stretch Band will continue to be exclusive to the smaller 41mm model. Users can expect four case color options: Black, Silver, Gold, and Moonstone.
Enhanced Charging and Features
A significant upgrade in the Pixel Watch 4 is the introduction of a new charging system, promising speeds that are up to 25% faster than prior models. This redesign includes moving the charging contacts to the side of the watch, enhancing repairability. Users should note that existing chargers for previous Pixel models will not be compatible with the new watch.
In addition to faster charging, the Pixel Watch 4 boasts larger batteries and improved battery life, reflecting Google’s responsiveness to user feedback. This new model will debut with Wear OS 6 and will be the first smartwatch to incorporate the new Material 3 Expressive design.

The Google Pixel Watch 4 is set to launch on August 20, 2023, during the anticipated Made by Google event. Pre-orders will be available the same day, with shipping expected to commence around August 28, 2023.
