New reports indicate that the launch of several devices in Google’s anticipated hardware lineup for 2025 may be postponed by two to three months. The company plans to unveil its Pixel 10 series in detail later this month, but speculation surrounding delays has emerged, particularly regarding the Pixel 10 Fold Pro, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a.
According to the German IT publication WinFuture, well-informed sources have disclosed that supply chain issues are causing production delays for these products. While the standard Pixel 10 smartphones are expected to launch on schedule following their announcement on August 20, 2025, the availability of the Pixel 10 Fold Pro, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a may be pushed back to October.
The delays appear to stem from significant redesigns in the devices. The Pixel Watch 4, for instance, is set to replace its previous charging system with a new side-oriented option. Although it will not feature wireless charging, this transition likely necessitates new hardware components.
In addition, the Pixel 10 Fold Pro is rumored to be the first of Google’s foldable devices to support Qi2 charging and come with an IP68 certification, indicating enhanced durability. These advancements may require substantial hardware upgrades. The latest model is also expected to include a redesigned display and hinge, further complicating production timelines.
While the reasons for potential delays in the Pixel Buds 2a remain unclear, the uncertainty surrounding the overall lineup could dampen consumer excitement. As the official announcement date approaches, anticipation will build to see whether the reports hold true.
Google has only a few weeks before its expected reveal, and despite the speculation, prices for the Pixel 10 series have already leaked online. This early disclosure suggests that while certain aspects may be delayed, the company is still preparing for a significant product launch.
