Valdosta State Athletics has formed a new partnership with Zaxby’s, a popular restaurant located at 1620 N Ashley St. in Valdosta. This collaboration aims to enhance community engagement and create distinctive experiences for fans throughout the Blazers’ athletic seasons.
As part of the agreement, Valdosta State Athletics and Zaxby’s will reintroduce Blazer Days, starting on December 19, 2026, and continuing monthly until May. On these designated days, a portion of the proceeds from the North Ashley Street Zaxby’s will be donated directly to the VSU Athletic Department. The dates for the upcoming Blazer Days include January 15, February 21, March 13, April 17, and May 15.
“We are excited to partner with Zaxby’s on North Ashley Street, a brand that has a strong presence in our community and a shared commitment to supporting Valdosta State Athletics,” stated Troy Katen, Director of Athletics at VSU. He emphasized that this partnership creates valuable opportunities to engage fans, support student-athletes, and contribute to the local community in enjoyable and impactful ways.
In addition to Blazer Days, the partnership will feature in-game promotions during the Blazer men’s basketball season. If the Blazers achieve four or more dunks during a home game, all VSU students present will receive a free buy-one-get-one (BOGO) coupon for Zaxby’s. Furthermore, children aged 12 and under attending the remaining home contests will also receive additional Zaxby’s coupons.
Nydia Milton, Zaxby’s Coordinator for Local Store Marketing, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration. “We’re fired up to partner with VSU Athletics. Supporting the women’s and men’s basketball teams is an incredible opportunity, and we can’t wait to deliver a season packed with energizing activations and fan-favorite promotions for the VSU community,” she remarked.
This partnership between Valdosta State Athletics and Zaxby’s not only enhances brand visibility for both organizations but also strengthens connections with Blazer fans and the community through shared experiences, charitable initiatives, and engaging gameday events.
