Four players from Texas A&M University have declared for the 2026 NFL Draft and are set to showcase their talents at the annual Senior Bowl Game on January 31, 2026. Among them are offensive linemen Trey Zuhn and Dametrious Crownover, both of whom have played pivotal roles as starting tackles for the Aggies over the past two seasons.
Zuhn and Crownover have established themselves as reliable figures in pass protection during the 2025 season. Zuhn has demonstrated remarkable versatility by practicing as a center this week, enhancing his appeal for NFL teams seeking depth in their offensive lines. Crownover, standing at 6’7″ and weighing over 330 pounds, has the physical attributes necessary to transition into a starting right tackle position in the NFL. However, he must refine his hand technique and footwork to reach that potential.
As the draft approaches, analysts project Crownover as a potential sixth-round pick, with some suggesting he may go undrafted but attract attention as a priority free agent. Given his size and experience in the Southeastern Conference (SEC), many believe he could realistically be selected in the sixth or seventh round. Meanwhile, Zuhn and fellow right guard Ar’maj Reed-Adams are anticipated to be drafted in the fourth or fifth rounds.
Practice Highlights Showcase Skills
This week has been crucial for Crownover and his teammates as they aim to bolster their draft stock. During practice on Tuesday, Crownover faced off against Romello Height, a standout edge rusher from Texas Tech who was named to the first-team All-Big 12 after accumulating 9.5 sacks last season. Crownover held his ground impressively against Height, demonstrating strong footwork and effective hand placement. He successfully contained Height within his zone and concluded his blocks with considerable physicality.
The combination of size, strength, and collegiate experience positions Crownover as a promising candidate for the NFL. Although this week marks the beginning of his professional journey, the practice sessions serve as vital opportunities to showcase his skills to NFL scouts and coaches.
Alongside Crownover and Zuhn, tight end Nate Boerkircher and linebacker Scooby Williams will also represent the National Team in the Senior Bowl. The game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CT and will be broadcast on the NFL Network, allowing a wide audience to witness the potential future stars of professional football.
As the Senior Bowl approaches, the focus will be on how these athletes leverage this key opportunity to enhance their prospects ahead of the draft.
