Renowned tennis player Rohan Bopanna has announced his retirement after an illustrious career spanning over 22 years. The former World No. 1, who is known primarily for his achievements in doubles, shared the news with his fans on social media at the age of 44. Bopanna’s decision to retire comes shortly after his historic victory at the 2024 Australian Open, where he became the oldest player to win a Grand Slam title at that age. Bopanna’s journey in tennis began in his hometown of Coorg, India. He fondly recalled the early days of his training, which included chopping wood to build strength for his serve and jogging through coffee estates to enhance his stamina.
