The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) has secured agreements with SportsNet New York (SNY) and New England Sports Network (NESN) to broadcast a total of 18 combined men’s and women’s basketball games during the 2025-26 season. This partnership marks a significant step for MAAC basketball, providing increased visibility for both Siena College teams.
The Siena women’s team will be featured on SNY when they face Fairfield University on January 19, 2026. The men’s team will also appear on SNY when they host Marist College at MVP Arena on January 22, 2026. SNY has an extensive reach, accessing approximately nine million households across New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Northeastern Pennsylvania.
MAAC Commissioner Travis Tellitocci expressed enthusiasm about the agreements, stating, “These partnerships give MAAC basketball an unprecedented level of exposure across the biggest media markets in the country.” He emphasized that the combined reach of over 13 million homes through SNY and NESN is a tremendous opportunity for student-athletes and programs.
The multi-year agreement with ESPN ensures that every televised game will also be available nationwide on ESPN+ and through the ESPN app, allowing fans to watch without any digital blackouts. This expanded coverage not only enhances the visibility of the games but also promotes the institutions involved.
SNY is renowned for its award-winning sports content, providing extensive coverage of professional teams such as the New York Mets and New York Jets, as well as collegiate sports. The network’s commitment to local sports ensures that fans have access to live games, nightly sports programs, and original entertainment, making it a leader in the Tri-State area.
As the 2025-26 season approaches, the MAAC and its member institutions look forward to engaging a broader audience and showcasing their talent on prominent platforms. This collaboration with SNY and NESN is poised to elevate the profile of MAAC basketball significantly, bringing excitement to fans throughout the Northeast and beyond.
