The TKO Group has implemented significant changes to the ticketing process for WWE events, affecting the access former talent and current wrestlers have to complimentary tickets. Lana, who holds a Legends contract with WWE, shared her experiences during a recent appearance on TMZ’s *Inside the Ring* podcast. She revealed that she purchased her own ticket to the *Survivor Series: WarGames* event, highlighting a shift in WWE’s ticketing policy under TKO’s management.
Lana explained that since TKO’s takeover, all talent must now buy their own tickets. She noted that even her friend, wrestler Liv Morgan, had to secure tickets for her family for the recent event. “It’s a little weird situation. I think that’s all TKO,” Lana commented. “You know, when TKO came on, a lot of these changes occurred, like, you have to buy tickets. Everyone has to buy tickets.”
The financial implications of this new policy can be significant. Lana mentioned that her husband, known in the ring as Rusev, faced a hefty expense when he debuted at *WrestleMania*, stating, “It was like, to bring his whole family in at WrestleMania, it was $5,000, like, had to buy for the suite.”
Lana emphasized that these changes do not reflect personal decisions by WWE executives like Triple H or Bruce Prichard, but rather stem from TKO’s overarching regulations. She expressed appreciation for John Cohn, WWE’s talent relations representative, who she described as trying to provide assistance despite the strict rules.
Despite the challenges, Lana remains enthusiastic about attending wrestling events. “I don’t have a problem paying for tickets because I believe in these people,” she stated, expressing her support for both the wrestlers and the sport itself. “Of course I’m going to buy a ticket for her return. I love wrestling in general. Of course we’re going to go see Miro.”
This sentiment is echoed by other former WWE talents. Scarlett Bordeaux remarked last month about the increased difficulty in obtaining complimentary tickets since TKO’s changes took effect. Bordeaux mentioned that the rising ticket prices have become a topic of conversation among WWE personnel, indicating a broader concern regarding access to events.
As the TKO Group continues to reshape WWE’s operational landscape, the adjustments to ticketing policies highlight the evolving nature of the wrestling entertainment industry and its financial dynamics. The impact of these changes resonates not only with current talent but also with fans eager to support their favorite wrestlers.
