Berger, who reached the finals for the first time in his career, expressed his satisfaction with his performance, noting, “Just being consistent was key. I think I was more consistent in match play, and that helped me get to the finals.” His journey included victories over notable competitors, showcasing the depth of talent in the tournament.
As the tournament unfolded, several top seeds were eliminated, underscoring the competitive nature of the event. An exciting playoff determined the final spots for match play, with Ethan Jeffreys edging out Austin Crowder after both carded identical totals in the qualifying rounds.
With 13 bowlers surpassing the 800-point mark during the qualifying block, the competition was fierce. Alexander Borowski from Macomb Dakota secured the top seed with an impressive total of 888, closely followed by teammates Zach Goreckio and Zach Selman.
