The score progression saw Mentor pulling ahead with quarters of 27, 21, and 13 points, compared to Glenville’s 23, 23, and 10. Both teams performed well at the charity stripe, with Glenville making 9 of 15 free throws and Mentor achieving 14 of 21.
In another boys’ matchup, Gilmour Academy dominated East Tech High School with a decisive 64-33 victory. Gilmour’s Henderson emerged as a standout player, scoring 19 points while East Tech’s Copley led his team with 25 points.
